| Audits - general info | NVAO (in Dutch: Nederlands-Vlaamse Accreditatieorganisatie) is the Accreditation Organisation of the Netherlands and Flanders. The organisation ensures the quality of higher education in the Netherlands and Flanders and is responsible for the accreditation process of educational programs. At the Hogeschool Utrecht University of Applied Sciences, the external accreditations are preceded by an internal audit and a formative, trial-audit. Internal audits are practically the same as external audits, only carried out by a team of internal auditors. Trial audits are formative in nature, they are like a trial-run for the actual accreditation. |

| Thesis (Bachelor) | 'Beheer en onderhoud van kennissystemen' (Maintenance of Knowledge Based Systems). This thesis dealt with how to maintain knowledge based systems (KBS). KBS have a specific characteristic: they contain knowledge. Maintaining this type of systems, needs extra attention for this knowledge inside the system. In the thesis, the existing development method of Bolesian was extended with specific activities for maintaining the knowledge within a KBS. These activities were both of a technological and an organizational character. |
| Thesis (Master of Science) | 'An instrument for effective knowledge audits'. Graduate project carried out for The Knowledge Management Network. In this thesis it was explored how you can determine the 'knowledge fitness' of an organisation. With the instrument, you are able to gather info about how well an organisation deals with its knowledge potential. The notion of the Knowledge Market was introduced. On this market, knowledge-supply and demand meet. If the knowledge market of an organisation functions effectively and efficiently, the organisation is knowledge fit. |
| Thesis (Master of Technological Design) | 'Analysis and design of e-learning at the University Medical Center Utrecht School of Medical Sciences'. ISBN 90-444-0290-0. This project was carried out at the department 'ICT in Education' (ICTO-department) of the School of Medical Sciences. The School of Medical Sciences is one of the fourteen faculties of the Utrecht University. It has recently merged with the Utrecht University Hospital (AZU) and the Wilhelmina Children's Hospital (WKZ) to become the University Medical Centre Utrecht (UMC Utrecht). The aim of this project was to gain insight in how e-learning currently supports the Medical and Biomedical Sciences programmes. On the basis of these insights, new e-learning elements were to be developed. Read or download this thesis. |
