CONSULTANCY PROJECTS

Bull Benelux (1995)
Project:  Knowledge Management Project for the Expertise Centre of Bull Benelux N.V.
Activities:  Analysis of the existing knowledge domains in the Expertise Centre, resulting in an advisory report.
Status:  -

Philips Semiconductors, now NXP (1996)
Project:  Redesign of the Website. 
Activities:  Structural & naviational design. Fulfill mediating role between the Technical Writers, Corporate Communication Department and Project/Design Team. 
Status:  The current Website has undergone other redesigns since this project. 

SayIt (1996)
Project:  Design, development and implementation of an online shop. 
Activities:  Design activities, mediating role between all stakeholders concerned. 
Status:  A database-driven online shop was developed (one of the first online shops back then). The shop-owners took over the maintenance and content-management of the the shop after implementation. They went offline some time ago. 

DIGEM (1996)
Project:  Design of a prefab website for local governments. 
Activities:  Design of the prefab website in collaboration with development-team and representatives of local government. 
Status:  The prefab web site was piloted with 3 trial communities, after this trial it was decided that it was too early to market this concept. 

Web-services Twinfo (1996-1997)
Project:  In house project: the development of easy accessible, standardised Web Services. 
Activities:
 
Design web-services: the Webfactory for standardised websites and the Intranet Scan, an advisory product for companies starting with intranet-activities. After that, the coordination of the development of these services. 
Status:  Both products were marketed successfully, until Twinfo was reorganized and ceased to be an independent business unit of PinkRoccade. 

Intranet Twinfo (1996-1997)
Project:  In House project: the development of the Website and an Intranet for Twinfo. 
Activities:  Coordination of the design and development activities. 
Status:  The Website and the Intranet were implemented and in use, until the reorganization of Twinfo. 

Parliament, The Lower House (1997-1999)
Project:  Analysis, initial and conceptual designs, prototyping and final designs for the integration of all information and document processes to develop an integrated system for the primary processes of the parliament, using Inter/intranet and document management technology. 
Activities:  Analysis, co-ordination of the prototype phase, extensive collaboration and mediation took place with the interaction designers, the developers and future users (representatives of the parliamentary organiation). After the prototype, the design phase (functional and technical) started, during this phase a number of different task groups were set up, which were facilitated in their work. 
Status:  During the development phase, the project was discontinued for organisational resaons.

Arbeidsvoorziening (1996-1997)
Project:  Agora was the project for the development and implementation of a nation-wide workflow-system, supporting the core processes of Arbeidsvoorziening: the Government Employment Offices with 280 branches and 3.500 users. 
Activities:  Process (re)design (Task Analysis) of the business processes in collaboration with the 'theme groups' which represented the organization. Besides this, an advisory role in the Information Architecture Team was played and also consultancy activities for the team which was concerned with developing the interface between the business processes (project Agora) and the financial processes (project FRIS). 
Status:  The complete system was ready for implementation and was running in the trial environment in one region of the Netherlands. It was decided not to proceed with the roll-out, because Arbeidsvoorziening was to be reorganized and restructured. 

Connection1 (1999-2000)
Activities:  Program & content development in collaboration with customers and partners. Interactive sessions were developed and held in the high-tech surroundings of Connection1. Trend watching & translating new developments to business terms formed a large part of the work. Connection1 was also an organization 'under construction' so contributing to developing the organization and its innovative services, was also very important. 
Status:  Connection1 is still up and running (with different management & employees)  

Bank Labouchere (2000-2001)
Project:  Business-to-business project. After contributing to the business case, a prototype was developed. For the prototype-phase a very interactive approach was taken, representatives from potential customers and the organization, collaborated with designers and developers. 
Activities:  Consultancy activities, for the content of the project (B2B and multiple channel services) and the process (facilitating group sessions, presentations, decision-making process). 
Status:  A multiple channel approach was taken in this project, one channel was developed and was implemented as a service to customers. The Web-channel was postponed in view of the situation at that time on the stock exchange.
