This project was carried out at the former department 'ICT in Education' (ICTO-department) of the Utrecht School of Medical Sciences. The Utrecht School of Medical Sciences is one of the fourteen faculties of the Utrecht University. It has merged with the Utrecht University Hospital (AZU) and the Wilhelmina Children's Hospital (WKZ) to become the University Medical Centre Utrecht (UMC Utrecht).

The former ICTO-department, now split up into the Expertise centre and DO-IT, is part of the Department of Education & Research, which is responsible for the educational programmes and educational research. The main task of the ICTO-department was to stimulate and support the implementation and use of ICT in education. To support this task, this project was started. The aim of this project was to gain insight in how e-learning currently supports the Medical and Biomedical Sciences programmes. On the basis of these insights, new e-learning elements were to be developed. The results of the projects can be found here.
